The Pathway of Hope (POH) initiative is a national program designed to help families break the cycle of intergenerational poverty. Through personalized, strengths-based case management, families receive the tools and support they need to move from crisis to self‑sufficiency.
Responsibilities
Work directly with families to assess needs and set achievable goals
Connect clients to housing, education, employment, and community resources
Partner with local agencies for a wrap‑around, holistic approach
Track outcomes using The Salvation Army’s WellSky Community Services database
Receive specialized training in Trauma‑Informed Care , Motivational Interviewing , and Strengths‑Based Practices
Qualifications
Location: Oakland, CA (serving Alameda County Command sites)
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field; 2–3 years of case management experience
