Overview Client Success Manager at ATHENA Consulting (Maryland Behavioral Health Administrative Services Project). This is a full-time position in Hanover, MD, with a hybrid schedule (1-2 days in the office and/or in the community). Compensation ranges from $32.00 to $37.00 per hour, depending on experience.
This is a long-term temporary assignment.
Essential duties and responsibilities Respond to complex cases and account-specific requests.
Use screening criteria knowledge and clinical judgment to assess member needs.
Conduct assessments to identify individual needs and develop specific care plans addressing objectives and goals.
Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of care plans and modify as needed; support member access to appropriate quality and cost-effective care.
Coordinate with internal and external resources to meet identified needs and collaborate with providers.
Serve as a resource to other Behavioral Health Case Managers.
Participate in cross-functional teams, projects, and initiatives.
Assist in developing department goals, objectives, and systems; participate in staff meetings and seminars as assigned.
Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services.
Perform duties efficiently and work as part of the team within the division and company.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required skills/abilities Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills in English.
Proven high-quality customer service (internal and external).
Ability to work collaboratively.
Strong analytical ability to assess situations and determine appropriate action.
Ability to understand and adhere to duties, methods, and procedures required by the position.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate to groups of various sizes.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and experience requirements MA/MS in social work, counseling, or a related behavioral health field, or a degree in nursing; minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in social work/counseling with a broad range of complex psychiatric and substance abuse treatment experience; or equivalent background.
Current active unrestricted license such as RN, LCSW, LMHC, LICSW, LPC, LMSW, LGPC (as allowed by applicable state laws) or LMFT (as allowed by applicable state laws) or Clinical Psychologist to practice as a health professional within licensure scope in applicable states or territories.
Previous experience in case management and telephonic and/or in-person coaching with members with complex psychiatric, substance abuse, or medical disorders.
Managed care experience required.
For Government business only: LAPC/LAMFT is acceptable in addition to other licensure; other state or federal requirements may apply.
Experience in health coaching and motivational interviewing techniques is preferred.
Physical requirements Possible prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Standard hours of work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
