Job Summary:

The RN Clinical Data Abstraction Coordinator is responsible for abstraction, analysis, and submission of clinical data to national registries. This position is responsible for the quality and coordination of data collection, data entry, analysis, report preparation, report submission, presentation of data, data sharing for process improvement initiatives and benchmarking/projections of future performance trends. Incumbent maintains detailed knowledge of registry field definition and registry reporting requirements. The RN Clinical Data Abstraction Coordinator is responsible for the technical and methodological support of the assigned registry/registries. He/she takes the initiative to identify knowledge gaps and actively works to build knowledge in others on the multidisciplinary team in relation to the national registries supported. This position is responsible for communicating report findings to others throughout the organization, interacting with various members of the multidisciplinary teams.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 1 year of related work experience in Cardiac Cath Lab/EP lab, Cardiovascular medicine/ICU, cardiac surgery or vascular surgery is required.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of an Associate degree in nursing is required.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Analytical, critical thinker, accuracy/attention to detail, self-disciplined, thrives in an independent working environment. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office is required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Advanced experience working in Epic EHR (documenting, chart navigation).

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).

Pay is expected to be between: (expressed as hourly) $31.77 - $49.24. Final compensation is based on experience and will be discussed with you by the recruiter during the interview process.
