This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of IntellaTriage. We are currently looking for a Remote Hospice Triage RN – PT (4:30a–11a CST weekdays + Sat & Sun 7:30a–4p CST) in California (USA) and Utah (USA).

This part-time, fully remote position offers licensed RNs the opportunity to deliver compassionate hospice care without the demands of daily travel or shift-based facility work. The role is ideal for tech-savvy, experienced nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments and want to make a meaningful impact on patients' end-of-life journeys. You’ll work from the comfort of home, connecting with patients via phone while using clinical protocols to triage effectively and support after-hours care. This is a mission-driven opportunity to improve care quality and continuity—especially during evenings and weekends.

Accountabilities:

  • Deliver remote triage support to hospice and end-of-life patients using client-specific protocols.
  • Handle a minimum of 2 weekday early morning shifts (4:30a–11a CST) and every other weekend (Sat & Sun 7:30a–4p CST).
  • Provide empathetic clinical guidance while managing up to 5–8 calls per hour, depending on shift.
  • Participate in three weeks of paid remote training before transitioning to live call support.
  • Document calls accurately and efficiently using EMRs and internal platforms, with required pre- and post-shift prep and charting time.
  • Access and utilize multiple digital applications while adhering to HIPAA-compliant protocols.
  • Maintain readiness to support clients across multiple states once licensed and trained.
  • Collaborate with care teams to ensure timely escalations and continuity of patient care.
  • Active California RN license is mandatory.
  • Must reside in and work from a Compact License State within the U.S.
  • Willing to obtain or already hold a Compact RN license; non-compact licensing costs may be covered.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in hospice, palliative, ED, surgical services, or critical care settings.
  • Ability to manage stress, multitask, and follow clinical protocols under pressure.
  • Must have high-speed internet and a quiet, private space to work in accordance with HIPAA standards.
  • Technologically proficient, with excellent typing skills and comfort using multiple platforms simultaneously.
  • Availability for every other weekend and some holidays required.
  • Must pass background and nurse licensing checks, and maintain CEUs and professional credentials.
  • $23/hour base pay with potential increases.
  • $1/hour overnight differential and $1/hour weekend differential (Saturday and Sunday).
  • Accrued Paid Time Off (PTO) based on hours worked.
  • 401(k) plan eligibility for part-time and full-time nurses.
  • Full-time nurses eligible for medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance.
  • Company-provided laptop and headset; nurses use their own internet.
  • Flexibility and comfort of a fully remote position, eliminating commuting costs and improving work-life balance.
