Palco is seeking a Quality Assurance Tester II to join our growing team. This is a remote, work-from-home position. The QA Tester II plays a key role in ensuring software releases meet business and technical specifications, are free of defects, and are ready for production deployment. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of QA methodologies, and the ability to lead testing efforts across multiple projects. The QA Tester II is a subject matter expert in assigned areas and contributes to process improvement and mentoring junior testers.
Essential Functions
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and system enhancements.
- Lead regression testing efforts to ensure stability across releases.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve design issues.
- Document and manage detailed defect reports, including reproduction steps and severity assessments.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Maintain and enhance automated UI and API test suites.
- Analyze test results and provide actionable feedback to development teams.
- Contribute to the development and documentation of QA processes and standards.
- Mentor junior QA testers and support their professional development.
Education and Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an IT discipline or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software QA testing, preferably in healthcare or financial services.
- Experience working in Agile frameworks and cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, Playwright preferred.

drawing logical conclusions, and applying smart solutions to unique situations
