NCDR Abstractor (PRN)

This is a fully remote, part-time role ideal for an experienced healthcare professional with a strong background in nursing and clinical data abstraction. You will review and abstract cardiovascular data from medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with nationally recognized quality care standards. Accountabilities

As an NCDR Abstractor, you will:

• Review and abstract cardiovascular registry data from medical records.
• Ensure compliance with national quality care processes and clinical outcomes.
• Document and report data for multiple registries, including Cath PCI, PVI, STS/ACC TVT, ACTION, ICD, IMPACT, and LAAO.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding data collection and reporting.
• Maintain accuracy and timeliness to meet client deadlines.
• Stay current with coding and abstraction rules, manuals, and guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN/BSN) or other healthcare program.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Proven experience in clinical data abstraction or healthcare information management.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and related software.
• Strong computer literacy, including Excel, web browsers, and web-based applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and reliably in a remote environment.
• Motivation to maintain and update professional skillset and credentials.
• Prior experience in the role or similar healthcare data abstraction positions is preferred.
• Willingness to complete background and drug screenings; may require COVID-19 vaccination.
