About Avandra Imaging

Avandra Imaging's mission is to organize the world's medical images in order to accelerate innovation and unlock patient access to the best care in the world. Avandra is poised to revolutionize healthcare research and innovation by creating the largest indexed data cloud of medical imaging. This platform will unlock unprecedented access to real-world imaging data, essential for biopharma research, medical device innovation, AI model training, and improved patient care. Leveraging its strategic acquisitions, Avandra aims to aggregate and de-identify vast amounts of imaging data, providing frictionless access to this invaluable resource. Avandra has a national footprint of over 5,000 customer integrations and a market share of approximately 70% -- this robust infrastructure supports our core business, ensuring continued growth and cash flow to fuel our innovative data cloud platform.

Under the leadership of Founder and CEO Ryan Tarzy, Avandra's experienced team is well-equipped to capitalize on this opportunity. Avandra’s business model centers on generating recurring subscription revenue from its cloud platform, offering indexed, cleansed, and enhanced imaging data to health systems, AI companies, and biopharma firms. The go-to-market strategy focuses initially on data marketplaces to drive near-term sales, with plans to expand direct sales efforts targeting AI/ML companies, medical device firms, and biopharma companies. This strategic approach positions Avandra as a leading player in the competitive landscape, with the potential for substantial growth and international expansion in the coming years.

This role focuses on manual review of medical imaging studies to ensure they meet defined technical, protocol, and de-identification standards prior to client delivery.

This role is well-suited for radiologic technology students or early-career imaging professionals seeking hands-on exposure to medical imaging data, research workflows, and healthcare technology.

What You’ll Do:

Imaging Quality Review

  • Perform manual visual review of medical imaging studies using approved DICOM viewers
  • Validate imaging studies against client-specific acceptance criteria, including:
    • Modality and series accuracy
    • Anatomical coverage and completeness
    • Image usability and acquisition artifacts
  • Confirm required images and series are present and properly structured

PHI & Privacy Verification

  • Verify that no Protected Health Information (PHI) is present in imaging data prior to delivery, including:
    • Burned-in text or annotations
    • Overlays and image corners
  • Confirm imaging data has been properly de-identified according to Avandra standards
  • Identify, flag, and escalate suspected PHI exposure or de-identification failures

Documentation & Workflow

  • Document review outcomes using Avandra QA workflows and tools
  • Apply standardized pass, fail, or needs-review determinations
  • Maintain clear, auditable records of quality and privacy reviews

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in calibration and training sessions to maintain review consistency
  • Provide feedback to improve automated quality and de-identification checks
  • Collaborate with Imaging Operations and Engineering teams as needed

What You’ll Need:

  • Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Radiologic Technology program or equivalent imaging-related training
  • Familiarity with medical imaging modalities (CT, MR, X-ray)
  • Ability to navigate and use DICOM viewers (training provided)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured review protocols
  • Basic technical proficiency with web-based tools and workflows

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • Attention to Detail: Consistently applies structured review criteria and catches edge cases
