Role Overview
The Clinical Specialist – Life Sciences is a physician-facing clinical education and support role within HEALWELL AI’s Life Sciences division. The role supports physicians caring for patients with rare and complex chronic diseases identified through HEALWELL AI’s Clinical Decision Support Platform.
Acting as a trusted clinical resource, the Clinical Specialist supports interpretation of clinical insights, diagnostic considerations, and guideline-aligned care. This role provides education and decision-support only and does not diagnose, prescribe, or assume responsibility for patient care.
This role reports to the Clinical Specialist Team Manager and works closely with Clinical Science, Life Sciences, operations, and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities
Physician Education & Clinical Support
- Support physicians managing patients identified through the HEALWELL AI Clinical Decision Support Platform.
- Provide education on disease states, diagnostic pathways, guideline-aligned evaluation, and care optimization.
- Facilitate case-based discussions to support interpretation of clinical signals, care gaps, and next-step considerations.
- Manage an assigned portfolio of physician users with a structured cadence of outreach, education, and follow-up.
Clinical Expertise & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Develop and maintain disease-specific educational materials and physician-facing resources.
- Partner with Clinical Science and Life Sciences leadership to align physician education with algorithm logic and program intent.
- Capture physician feedback and coordinate with product, technical, and operations teams to support program improvement.
- Contribute to standardized training materials, playbooks, FAQs, and clinical education protocols.
Program Execution & Reporting
- Produce program summaries highlighting physician engagement, clinical feedback, and improvement opportunities.
- Communicate physician insights internally to inform program evolution and customer value.
- Ensure accurate documentation of clinical interactions and compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., PHIPA, HIPAA).
Qualifications
Required
- MD or equivalent medical degree (including internationally trained physicians).
- 2–5+ years of experience in clinical practice, medical education, medical affairs, or physician-facing clinical roles.
- Experience supporting or managing rare and/or complex chronic disease pathways.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with clinical stakeholders.
Preferred
- Experience in physician education, clinical liaison, or field medical roles.
- Familiarity with clinical decision support tools, healthcare analytics, or EMR-derived insights.
- Fluency in English required; French bilingualism is a strong asset.
Work Environment
- Based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
- Primarily remote, field-based role.
- Occasional travel for physician meetings, customer engagements, and internal collaboration.
