What will you be doing in this role:

The Clinical LIS Applications Analyst provides operational and laboratory information system (LIS)/application build and maintenance, including laboratory middleware and ancillary applications such as HLA, point of care (POC), and blood gas systems. Completes assignments to meet customer goals and desired outcomes. Supports the implementation of lab applications along with the integration of those systems. Supports teams with lab-specific server and database maintenance, interface and network troubleshooting, and system design. Performs modifications to existing applications that will effectively accomplish desired objectives. Provides analysis for requests and completes assignments/projects independently under the direction of senior analysts and the Team Lead.

  • Participates in the support, maintenance, build, testing, and upgrades of clinical laboratory information systems (LIS), ancillary laboratory applications, middleware, and interfaces.
  • Provides support and maintenance of laboratory applications including:
    • Servers (including AWS) and certificates
    • Databases
    • Network configurations
    • Interfaces 
    • Users
  • Possess operational knowledge of the clinical laboratories.
  • Participates in optimization of laboratory operational workflow processes with end-users/business owners.
  • Performs analysis, build, testing, validation, documentation, and implementation of assignments/projects.
  • Translate requirements/concepts into system specifications and configuration requirements.
  • Interacts with operational end-users, EIS, system, and support vendors as needed. 
  • Ensures the research and documentation of project requirements, test plans, testing, and validation is completed.
  • Provides training to team members as needed based on testing/troubleshooting documentation as well as updates knowledge base articles and policies/procedures.
  • Provides on-call support during off hours.
