Workers' Compensation Case Manager - RN - Fully Remote in the US
WorkCare, Inc. is seeking a full‑time RN to serve as Workers' Compensation Case Manager, supporting our occupational health initiatives across the United States.
Job Summary
As the primary liaison for injured employees and external temporary workers, you will manage workers' compensation claims, maintain OSHA record‑keeping, coordinate return‑to‑work processes, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure legal compliance and effective case management. You will support occupational health initiatives and provide data‑driven insights to leadership through regular reporting.
Schedule: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm PST.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact for injured employees to provide information on the workers' compensation process and refer to appropriate resources.
Gather pertinent information for TPAs and insurance carriers, including work history, hazard exposure, job description, symptom details, and medical information.
Determine OSHA recordability, track lost and restricted work days, and document in electronic database or spreadsheet. Assist with year‑end OSHA posting requirements.
Participate in case‑management reviews, incident investigations, and forums that discuss workers' compensation data.
Communicate anticipated date and restrictions for return‑to‑work with managers, EHS professionals, and clients.
Coordinate claims handling among employees, TPAs, insurance carriers, medical providers, HR, legal, risk management, and workers' compensation brokers.
Provide quarterly metrics to regional business and EHS management.
Maintain current knowledge of workers' compensation case law and statutes for assigned states.
Support occupational and non‑occupational injury and illness programs and provide administrative support where needed.
Cover the Global EHS Occupational Health and Travel Health position on an as‑needed basis.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing school and hold a valid RN license (compact/multistate). California single‑state RN license required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Current BLS certification.
3–5 years’ experience in workers' compensation case management.
2–3 years’ experience in urgent care, emergency department, or occupational health preferred.
Must hold COHN license.

Ability to lift or move up to 40 pounds and climb stairs.
Work Environment
Indoor office environment with moderate noise level; air quality good and temperature controlled.
Compensation
Hourly pay rate of $45.00 per hour.
