Position Overview:
The Workers’ Compensation Case Manager will manage cases from intake through settlement, coordinate with applicants, medical providers, and insurance companies, and assist attorneys with hearings, depositions, and other case preparation. Spanish fluency is required to effectively communicate with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Process new files from Intake and assist handling attorney throughout the case
Serve as first point of contact for applicants, medical providers, and insurance on active cases
File and serve Workers’ Compensation documents
Manage applicant treatment, including obtaining medical records, scheduling medical appointments, requesting doctor panels, and coordinating AME/PQMEs
Prepare Pre-Trial Conference Statements, settlement documents, and trial exhibits as needed
Maintain communication with applicants regarding case status
Manage 100–150 active files simultaneously and organize case files for the team
Qualifications:
Bilingual in Spanish (required)
1–2+ years of workers’ compensation experience preferred
Familiarity with California Workers’ Compensation procedures and terminology
Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in case management software (MerusCase a plus)
High school diploma required; college degree or paralegal certificate a plus
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, on-site
