We are connected by our mission - partnering and healing for a healthy future - and dedicated to the health and well-being of the communities we serve.**FTE:** 1.0, **Shift:** Day, **Schedule:** Day**Position Summary**The Utilization Management (UM) Specialist Behavioral Health (BH) Clinician is responsible for concurrent utilization management activities for a defined patient population by serving as a link between the patient, health care team, organization, and payors during the patient’s hospital stay. The UM BH Clinician facilitates optimal reimbursement through accurate certification and complete chart documentation; completes admission and continued stay reviews based on UM criteria; participates in a collaborative team approach and works independently, as well as cooperatively and collaboratively with health care staff and management. **Requirements*** Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a counseling-related field (MSW, MS, MA) required* Current certificate or WA state licensure as a, LICSW, LMHC, Licensed Psychologist or Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor is required* Two (2) years related experience in Mental Health, BH Case Management, and/or substance abuse treatment* Experience with prior authorization and utilization review preferred**Our Values**As a MultiCare employee, we'll rely on you to reflect our core values of Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, Excellence, Collaboration, Kindness and Joy. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $93,954.00 - $135,221.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
