Job Summary
The Utilization Management, Supervisor will oversee and manage Utilization Management activities. You will maintain high standards in clinical programs, enhance customer relationships, and ensure contract requirements are met successfully. The role involves day‑to‑day oversight of utilization review programs, prior authorization and retrospective reviews, and serving as a subject‑matter expert for the team.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee Utilization Management activities.

Ensure overall consistency, thoroughness, and accuracy of clinical programs.

Oversee program to ensure clinical efficiencies, deliverables, and contract functions meet high standards.

Strengthen relationships with customers and meet contract requirements.

Provide day‑to‑day oversight to manage the utilization review program.

Responsible for utilization reviews as defined by the contract to include prior authorization and retrospective reviews.

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Participate as a team member fostering collaborative decision‑making among leadership, committees, teams, or work groups of diverse composition.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications

Current, active and unrestricted license in the state of Arkansas as one of the following:

Physical Therapist (PT) issued by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy.

Occupational Therapist (OT) issued by the Arkansas State Medical Board.

Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) issued by the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Speech‑Language Pathology and Audiology.

2+ years of clinical experience in a PT, OT, or SLP setting.

1+ years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.

2+ years of Utilization Management, Utilization Review, or Prior Authorization experience.

2+ years of supervisory or people‑management experience (e.g., coaching, counseling, performance reviews).

Completion of a Master’s or higher‑level degree program in PT, OT, or SLP, meeting state licensure requirements.

Must reside in the state of Arkansas.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong medical record abstracting skills and thorough knowledge of medical records.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Current working knowledge of utilization management.

Customer‑focused, results‑oriented, and capable of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers.

Thrives in a fast‑paced environment with a focus on high productivity and efficiency.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and adapt swiftly to changing circumstances.

Organizational skills, ability to plan and prioritize multiple assignments.

Experience in using electronic systems that support Utilization Review processing.

Ability to lead in a team environment, both in remote and in‑person settings.

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other software programs essential to perform job functions.

Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to a team of professionals.

Compensation
USD $72,000.00 – USD $112,500.00 per year.
