In this role you will learn to coordinate and evaluate the medical care being provided to the assigned caseload. The mission will be to provide oversight of necessary, cost effective quality medical treatment and care, while expediting claims handling by working collaboratively with the Claim Adjuster for resolution of injury and/or return to work.
The MCM Trainee will learn to create a plan to ensure timely resolution of injury(s) through utilization of established guidelines to determine appropriate medical treatment and monitoring progress/response to treatment in a collaborative manner with the Claim Adjuster. In addition, this role will learn to make recommendations on alternative care pursuant to review and research conducted utilizing nationally accepted practice parameters. Throughout the process, the MCM Trainee will engage with the injured worker to develop an understanding of their needs, to educate and prepare for upcoming treatments and return to work options; they will also assist FCCI’s Claim Adjuster with the oversight of the diagnostic codes and medication(s) prescribed to assure relatedness and necessity. This position is based in Sarasota, Florida and offers a hybrid work schedule of (2) days working remote with (3) days on premises (after initial training).
