Description: Case Managers work directly with clients, third parties, and providers. The ideal candidate is comfortable with computers, case management software, and general office tasks, and excels at verbal and written communication. Case Managers handle fact-finding projects and gather and organize documents and information.

Responsibilities Case Management & Oversight: Independently manage a caseload of 350-400 Social Security Disability cases, ensuring that each case progresses efficiently through the claims process.
Client Communication & Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for current clients. Provide guidance and updates throughout the disability claims process, including reconsideration and appeals. Manage client expectations with compassion and empathy.
Evidence Collection & Documentation: Gather and organize medical records, employment history, and other documentation. Coordinate with healthcare providers, clients, and other parties to obtain required evidence timely.
Administrative & Agency Communication: Maintain regular communication with SSA, DDS, and Administrative Law Judges (ALJs). Submit forms, monitor claim statuses, and handle agency inquiries.
Case Workup & Hearing Preparation: Collaborate with attorneys to evaluate claim strength, assist with strategy, and prepare cases for hearings before ALJs. Ensure case files are complete and evidence is accurate.
Legal Collaboration & Teamwork: Work with attorneys to develop strategies, assess viability, and prepare for hearings. Assist in providing supporting documentation for each client’s claim.
Compliance & Documentation Management: Maintain organized case files and track deadlines, submissions, and follow-ups to ensure timely progress.
Process Improvement & Efficiency: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows. Stay informed about changes in Social Security Disability regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications High School Diploma or GED
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Experience in customer service is preferred
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Excellent time management
Knowledge of case management software; Filevine is not required but preferred
