Western Tidewater CSB is seeking qualified Case Managers for our School Intervention Program (SCIP) department. **Substance Abuse and/or Mental Health experience is preferred for this position. ** Responsibilities and Duties for Case Manager: Teach consumers appropriate strategies to manage behavioral and mental health symptoms
Assist with consumer service plans related to identified needs and goals
Assist consumers in gaining access to appropriate medical, psychiatric, social, educational, vocational and other support and services
Provide consumer training/reinforcement, linkage to supports/services
Advocate on behalf of consumer, family and providers
Behavior management and crisis intervention.
Qualifications and Skills for Case Manager: BA/BS in Human Services
One-year direct care experience with individuals with SMI, SA, or who are dually diagnosed
Must be QMHP-C
Must possess a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable DMV record.
