RN Staff Development, Quality Improvement Director Full-time
Episcopal Homes of Minnesota, a not-for-profit equal opportunity employer and provider of senior living options located in the Midway area of Saint Paul, is seeking a versatile professional to fill our full time Maintenance Technician position.
Episcopal Homes in St. Paul has an exciting opportunity for an RN who enjoys staff education and project leadership. This position serves two campus long term care centers and will lead a team of two other nurses to provide staff education, an active onboarding program for new staff and quality improvement projects. The two care centers served by this team are recognized for their work to change the culture of elder care. The Gardens is a new care center built around a household model of care. Built in 2015 this care center provides six households each with their own kitchen and living areas. Episcopal Church Home provides both long term care and transitional care in a redesigned household approach. As an RN Director this position leads three priority strategies key to the quality of care Episcopal Homes provides elders. In partnership with two other staff this position will direct and coordinate a team of three to accomplish high quality staff education, quality improvement projects and onboarding programs for new staff.
Qualifications Licensed RN in good standing and currently licensed by the State in which employed
Must hold and maintain a current CPR certification
Minimum three (3) years full-time nursing experience
Experience in long term healthcare, preferred- Minimum one (1) year experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in the field of nursing, preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to proficiently use Microsoft Office programs and other company software
Remain current on training and instructional methodologies, including applicable technology resources available
Self-motivated, organized, detailed oriented and require minimal supervision
Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities, and to meet simultaneous deadlines
Knowledge of state, federal and licensing regulations
Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient, employee, and company proprietary information
Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with patients, families, and other employees at all levels
