Responsibilities Accurately analyzing and abstracting clinical data and information; maintaining organized and detailed clinical reports and databases; maintaining confidentiality at all times; working as a member of different teams.
Abstracts clinical information from medical records and completes all required fields in trauma database.
Assists with data analysis and evaluates opportunities for improvement.
Abstracts clinical information from medical records for the submission of in-patient and outpatient core measures, National Cardiac Data Registry data, and/or cardiovascular surgery outcomes.
Qualifications Required qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program or credentials in nursing
Working experience/knowledge in quality management/improvement.
Requires previous computer experience – skills in Microsoft Word and Excel as well as Meditech. Working knowledge of databases is a plus
