Part Time - 40hrs. Biweekly
The Clinical Educator (RN) plays a vital role in advancing nursing practice through education and professional development. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs—including orientation, continuing education, and in-service training—that support the growth, competency, and excellence of nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities Develops, organizes, and delivers educational programs to enhance clinical skills, professional growth, and adherence to standards of care.
Facilitates orientation programs for new staff, ensuring a smooth transition into the clinical environment.
Provides ongoing continuing education and competency-based training for nursing staff.
Evaluates program effectiveness and makes evidence-based improvements to meet evolving practice standards.
Serves as a role model and mentor, fostering a culture of lifelong learning and professional accountability.
Ensures compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and upholds the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses in all educational activities.
Minimum Qualifications Education: BSN required. MSN required (must be obtained within 5 years if not). Master’s in Nursing Education preferred. Grandfathered Brook Lane staff (hired prior to 1/1/2025) — BSN Required; MSN or Master’s in Nursing Education preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years recent experience in an acute care setting, preferably with three of those years in the specialty area.
Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland. National Certification in clinical specialty preferred or within one year of eligibility. BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy required. ACLS, PALS, NRP or other certification in compliance with requirements of clinical units supported.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient computer skills. Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal relations.
