Job Summary
The Resident Care Manager (LPN or RN) is responsible for managing residents’ health plans and supervising nursing activities during their shift. The position requires adherence to state and federal regulations and facility policies.

Primary Responsibilities

Administrative duties

Committee participation

Charting and documentation

Medication administration

Personnel management, supervision, and leadership—including payroll/timecard review and annual performance evaluations of direct reports

Nursing care functions

Professional development of staff

Safety and infection control

Equipment and supply management

Care planning and assessment functions

Protection of resident rights

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Current, unencumbered Washington State nursing license

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a minimum of a licensed nursing program

Proficient in English communication

Independent decision-making ability

Knowledgeable in nursing, medical practices, and long‑term care regulations

Leadership and supervisory abilities and collaborative teamwork

Program planning, implementation, and policy development for quality care

Patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition when dealing with residents

Willingness to integrate new methods into nursing practice

Confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
