Primary Responsibilities:

  • The registered nurse is responsible for applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills to promote the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards.
  • The RN serves as a single point of contact for patients, their families, caregivers, and referring physicians to assist in accessing clinical and supportive services across the care continuum.
  • This RN provides guidance to patients and families to improve their understanding and promote their participation with Palliative Care.
  • This position will facilitate patient appointments, including diagnostics, specialty services, and consults, as well as offer educational and emotional support.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an approved professional registered nursing program.
  • Current and valid Texas RN license.
  • Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
  • 1+ years of clinical experience.
  • Experience with EMRs.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Clear communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population and for CPR, and oxygen administration.
  • Driver's license and access to reliable transportation and current insurance coverage as position may require sporadic travel throughout the greater Houston area, per the physician direction for home visits.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • ACLS and/or PALS.
  • Specialty nursing certification in Palliative Care or one appropriate to the specialty area assigned.
  • Ambulatory Care, Hospital, Hospice or Palliative Care experience.
  • EPIC experience.
  • Windows bases computer skills.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.27 to $50.48 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
