Join our growing Orthopedic Services team at Deaconess Illinois Medical Center, where we deliver exceptional care and outcomes for joint replacement, spine, and sports medicine patients.
As the Orthopedic Care Coordinator RN , you’ll play a key role in guiding patients through every phase of their orthopedic journey — from initial consult to post-surgical recovery. You’ll serve as a patient advocate, educator, and liaison between surgeons, nurses, therapy, and ancillary departments to ensure a seamless experience and excellent outcomes.
What You'll Do:
Coordinate the full continuum of care for orthopedic patients, from pre-admission through discharge.
Provide education and support to patients and families about procedures, expectations, and recovery.
Collaborate with surgeons, nursing units, therapy, and case management to remove barriers and streamline care.
Track quality outcomes and contribute to program improvement initiatives.
Support marketing and community outreach for the orthopedic program.
Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff related to orthopedic care standards and best practices.

Required: Certifications/Licenses/Experience:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) in Illinois
Preferred: Certifications/Licenses/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
2-3 years of acute care experience
Ortho and/or surgical experience
Compensation:
Hourly Range - $31.25-$46.88
Bonus:
Potential for a performance-based bonus, subject to eligibility criteria and achievement of defined metrics. Details regarding bonus eligibility and performance goals will be provided during the interview process or upon hire.
Incentives:
Eligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentive based on company policies and applicable job codes. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.
