PRN/Per Diem Occupational Therapist at Sky View Rehabilitation and Health Care. Flexible scheduling with weekend hours available.
Responsibilities
Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing Occupational Therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the Director of Rehabilitation and/or the Administrator.
Plan, develop, organize, evaluate, and implement the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the occupational therapy program to help residents obtain/maintain their highest level of physical, mental and social well-being.
Interpret and/or instruct in physical therapy policies and procedure to personnel, residents, family members, etc. as necessary.
Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of resident care plans, resident assessments (MDS), etc. as necessary.
Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants as required.
Maintain treatment records, resident files, and progress notes as required and maintain an adequate liaison with families and residents.
Qualifications
Must possess a current license and registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist, OT in the State of NY.
Must possess current malpractice insurance, license in good standing.

Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, & sometimes challenging residents.

Able to work well under pressure, flexible, & will work harmoniously with all staff.
