Quality Improvement Lead | Surgical Services
Position Summary
The Service Line Quality Outcomes Lead reports directly to the Associate Director of Quality Program Coordination and collaborates with senior quality leaders. The Lead develops and executes service line–specific strategies for clinical quality improvement and program monitoring, ensuring regulatory compliance and performance rigor. Leveraging process improvement tools, change management, data analysis, and strong leadership skills, the Lead influences data‑driven change, leads multidisciplinary teams, and drives initiatives that positively impact patient outcomes and clinical metrics.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and prioritize quality improvement gaps and target goals based on comparative clinical data, benchmarking, and stakeholder input.
Facilitate process improvement data collection, analysis, evaluation, and dissemination of findings.
Seek and apply evidence‑based best practices to inform service line–specific action plans.
Coordinate the clinical performance improvement process: identify, prioritize, and implement iterative improvements; monitor change‑management effectiveness; revise strategies as necessary to meet target clinical goals.
Communicate progress and findings to multidisciplinary stakeholders, ensuring education and consultation regarding data‑driven opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
Master’s Degree in a clinical field and active clinical licensure.
2 years of relevant experience required; 4–6 years preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and facilitation skills.
Knowledge of industry trends and best practices for high‑quality, safe health care delivery.
Project management experience and proficiency with quality tools (e.g., DMAIC, Lean Six Sigma, PDSA).
Demonstrated success in achieving results with complex, dynamic teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn new systems software.
Continuing Education & Compliance
Maintain continuing education credits and licensure as required by professional associations or licensing bodies.
Maintain necessary qualifications, training, and certifications to access and analyze data reports.
