GENERAL SUMMARY The Program Manager of Revenue Cycle Informatics is responsible for leading and coordinating strategic initiatives that enhance the integration, optimization, and performance of revenue cycle systems and related data analytics. The Program Manager leads work efforts for optimizing system workflows, templates, and data integrity to drive continuous improvement, user engagement, and organizational alignment with CHKD’s mission and strategic goals. This role bridges clinical, operational, and technical teams to ensure that informatics solutions support efficient, compliant, and patient-centered revenue cycle operations. Reports to department leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead cross-functional programs and professionals focused on revenue cycle informatics across all operations to include, but not be limited to, patient access, clinical operations, and patient accounting workflows including scheduling, registration, charge capture, coding, billing, and collections.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define program goals, scope, timelines, and deliverables aligned with CHKD’s strategic objectives.
Oversee standardization and maintenance of Epic templates and operational workflows to promote consistency, efficiency, and best practices.
Manage Revenue Cycle governance processes, including intake, evaluation, prioritization, and implementation of system optimization requests, 3rd party integrations, and deployment of new functionality.
Oversee the implementation and optimization of EHR and revenue cycle systems (e.g., Epic), ensuring alignment with operational workflows and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and analytics tools to monitor revenue cycle performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Serve as a liaison between IT, clinical, and financial departments to ensure data integrity, interoperability, and user adoption.
Manage vendor relationships and coordinate third-party solutions that support revenue cycle informatics.
Facilitate training, change management, and communication strategies to support program success.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and other regulatory standards related to health information and billing.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS Required Licenses and/or Certifications Epic certification required or completion within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Licenses and/or Certifications PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Required Education and Experience Master's degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems or related field required.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, informatics, or IT project management.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of Epic applications supporting access and revenue cycle functions (e.g., Cadence, Prelude, Resolute, and/or Referrals)
WORKING CONDITIONS Remote and normal office environment as needed with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like with exception of visits to the computer room.
