DIRECT REPORTS: N/A
ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE: Responsible for obtaining pre-certifications and pre-authorizations for
procedures and medications helping to coordinate patient appointments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Verification for toxin, testing, and cognitive appointments.
• Obtain authorizations for all appointments.
• Process new order for toxins.
• Answer billing office calls.
• Maintain and complete prepayment worklist in EMR system.
• Maintain and complete eligibility worklist daily task.
• Maintain and complete worker’s compensation caseload.
• Cleanout billing folder in EMR system including faxes and voicemails.
• Other job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include superior interpersonal and patient
contact skills and excellent telephone manners.
• Minimum of two years of experience with scheduling and insurance billing for medical services
with general knowledge of ICD10 and CPT codes.
• General knowledge of office procedures, equipment, and comprehensive computer skills.
• Work under minimal supervision and effectively in a team environment.
• EMR experience a plus.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE, NOT REQUIRED:
• At least one (1) year of related experience in a Neurological setting
• Prior Authorization Certification a plus
• Strong computer and typing skills
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology
