Palliative Care Physician

Ascension St Vincent Hospital is seeking a part time (.3 FTE), BC/BE Palliative Care physician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, providing comprehensive care to individuals with serious, complex or life-limiting illnesses. Our specialty trained interdisciplinary team works with patients to manage pain, and address psychosocial, emotional or spiritual distress to improve quality of life for the patient and family.

Responsibilities include: Inpatient consults, symptom management, team collaboration and multidisciplinary approach to care, timely documentation, education and attending patient rounds, discharge planning, quality improvement, psychosocial support, coordination of care, and following best practices/evidence based medicine.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
