Overview Pharmacists who complete the Vizient PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics & Supply Chain Leadership Residency Program will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to leverage data effectively in the evolving medication use process. As a resident, you will develop a comprehensive understanding on the use of informatics from clinical, operational and leadership perspectives. You will engage with experienced preceptors and mentors with diverse backgrounds from health care to analytics, as well as leaders from Vizient client institutions. This unique opportunity to develop leadership, advanced programming and database management skills will enable you to become a leader in the informatics realm and prepare you to serve in a wide range of pharmacy related roles.

The pharmacy informatics resident is integral to advancing the data platforms our clients use to optimize their pharmacy performance.

Travel Occasional travel may be required. Professional meetings may include the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Midyear Clinical Meeting and Vizient University Health System Consortium network meetings. Travel expenses are reimbursed for meetings and rotation activities that are approved by the residency program director.
Benefits Estimated annual stipend: $70,000

How to apply Preliminary applicant discussions will be held at the ASHP Personal Placement (PPS) booth during the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting in December. We will also be present at the Residency Showcase on Monday, December 8th from 1 to 4PM local time at booth 4119. Alternative accommodations can be made as needed. Applicants should register and request an interview through the ASHP PPS website. PPS or Midyear-related interviews are not required for consideration but are strongly recommended.

Eligibility requirements Graduation from a pharmacy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)

Copy of transcripts from ACPE-accredited pharmacy program
Completion (or pending completion) of ASHP-accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency or equivalent experience
