Responsibilities
Practice Hospice and Palliative Care, focusing on improving the quality of life for children with serious illness and their families across inpatient, outpatient, and home settings. Collaborate with the hospice medical director to provide world-class hospice medical care in accordance with federal regulations and the strategic direction set by the board. Travel within the service area is required.
Qualifications
Licensed to practice medicine in Connecticut.
Experience in a medical specialty dealing with terminally ill patients (internal medicine, family medicine, oncology, geriatrics) with demonstrated experience in pain and symptom management principles.
Board certification or fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Care preferred.
Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork and collaboration.
Current and updated DEA license.
Willingness to participate in training programs, in-service and education programs.
