Responsibilities Client Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' healthcare needs, financial situations, and eligibility for Mass Health programs.
Legal Expertise: Utilize your legal knowledge to guide clients through the Mass Health application process, ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
Medicaid Application Support: Assist clients in preparing, submitting, and tracking Mass Health applications accurately and within specified timelines.
Eligibility Determination: Evaluate client eligibility for various Mass Health programs, including MassHealth Standard, MassHealth CarePlus, MassHealth Family Assistance, and other related programs.
Documentation Management: Maintain meticulous and up-to-date records of client information, applications, and correspondence, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
Advocacy and Legal Support: Act as a legal advocate for clients during the application process, addressing any legal issues or barriers that may arise and ensuring timely resolution.
Benefit Coordination: Collaborate with attorneys, healthcare providers, and other professionals to coordinate the delivery of Medicaid-covered services and benefits within a legal framework.
Legal Compliance: Stay informed about changes in Mass Health policies, regulations, and eligibility criteria, ensuring full compliance and adherence to legal requirements.
Reporting: Prepare and submit legal documentation and reports related to case management activities, outcomes, and program metrics to supervisors and relevant legal stakeholders.
Legal Research: Conduct legal research as needed to support clients' Mass Health applications and related legal matters.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Minimum of five years of experience in Medicaid case management, with expertise in Mass Health applications and legal advocacy.
In-depth knowledge of Mass Health programs, eligibility criteria, and application processes, with a keens understanding of the legal aspects.
Strong legal research and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, attorneys, and healthcare professionals.
Proficiency in using legal software, case management tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
