Job Overview
The Medication Care Manager is responsible for providing the highest quality care by administering medication and treatments safely and organized. Responsibilities include medication administration, documentation, and resident care, aligning with Sunrise's mission to champion the quality of life for all seniors, in accordance with applicable laws and policies.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Medication Administration

Provide quality care by administering medications and treatments safely.

Review and document resident information daily.

Receive medication updates from the Resident Care Director or Wellness Nurse.

Administer, assist, and observe medication and treatments using the Six Rights of Medication Pass.

Ensure timely medication passing and proper documentation.

Maintain confidentiality of resident information.

Report concerns and restock medication supplies.

Assist in medication checks and assess residents for 'as needed' medications.

Count narcotics with another Medication Care Manager or Lead Care Manager each shift.

Maintain and clean medication areas and follow refill processes.

Support residents' independence and dignity, practicing good care standards.

Resident Care Communications

Notify the RCD of concerns through the LEAD process.

Participate in daily meetings and care plan development.

Risk Management & Safety

Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.

Practice safety procedures and report incidents or hazards.

Handle hazardous materials safely and report occupational exposures.

Store oxygen tanks safely and monitor oxygen levels.

Team Contribution & Training

Participate actively in team efforts and meetings.

Engage in ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

High School diploma/GED; certifications as required by law.

CPR and First Aid certifications.

Minimum 18 years old; experience with seniors preferred.

Strong communication, judgment, and decision-making skills.
