Position Summary
This Manager of Clinical Informatics leads a team of informaticists responsible for deployment and adoption of technology to support care delivery at ECU Health. The Manager of Clinical Informatics has responsibility to align and support operational initiatives, leveraging data and advancing technology to improve outcomes, enhance clinician efficiency and advance patient engagement. The Manager will work closely with informatics and application leadership to execute and refine methodologies to ensure quality delivery of initiatives including implementation, optimization and adoption through engagement of front line staff and managers. The Manager of Clinical Informatics leads day-to-day management and oversight to the informatics team promoting growth and advancing competencies of the informatics team members.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required- or higher.
Master's degree in business, healthcare administration, computer technology, information management or informatics highly desired.
Current Registered Nurse license is required
Minimum of three (3) years of inpatient clinical nursing experience required
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in clinical/nursing informatics required
Minimum two (2) years experience in a leadership role within a health care organization with a strong operational background or proven track record of accomplishments in informatics within a large, complex, multi-location organization preferred.
Informatics Experience with Epic or other major EMR vendor highly desired
Obtains ANCC Nursing Informatics certification or CPHIMS certification within 18 months of hire
