Legal Assistant (Post Adjudication Case Manager)
Location: Southfield, MI (Relocating to Troy, MI in January)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 40 hours/week
Compensation: $20–$23/hour, based on experience
About the Role
Nyman Turkish PC, a rapidly growing Disability and Litigation law firm, is seeking a Post Adjudication Case Manager to join our Social Security Disability team. This position focuses on managing the client disengagement and case closure process after a decision has been made on a claim.

Key Responsibilities
- Collect attorney fees from the Social Security Administration
- Process client cost reimbursements and credit card payments
- Prepare and file fee petitions as needed
- Make frequent outbound calls to SSA and payment centers
- Calculate award amounts and file appeals when necessary
- Communicate with clients regarding case status and payments
- Send disengagement letters and other correspondence
- Use legal case management software
- Perform administrative assistant duties as needed
- Maintain strong attention to detail and organization in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- High attention to detail and time management
- Comfortable working with financial data and calculations
- Prior administrative or legal support experience is a plus
