Intermediate RN Physician Informatics Advocate AdventHealth The role you will contribute:
The Physician Informatics Advocate Intermediate has an extensive understanding of healthcare applications in use at AdventHealth, the ability to analyze and understand business problems, and the knowledge to make solution recommendations that meet the organizational goals of maintaining clinical and business systems. They are dedicated to facilitating a secure, effective, integrated electronic medical record system that continually focuses on improving outcomes, reduces cost, increases efficiency, and enhances user experiences. The Advocate is able to work independently with minimal supervision on projects of moderate complexity identifying ways that EMR technology improves workflow efficiency and successfully engages in multiple initiatives simultaneously. Is engaged in activities of analysis, design and implementation, optimization as well as application support; performs troubleshooting and conveys issue resolution. Utilizes knowledge of clinical practice and AH performance improvement process to achieve established goals. Participates in mentoring less experienced team members. Responsible for customization of order sets, documentation and views, build of macros and auto-text within the EMR. The Physician Advocate provides 24hr on-call support to Physician/AHPs/Residents/Medical Students for a variety of clinical applications; researches, communicates, resolves, and escalates as needed. Assists with executing change management strategy. They communicate project status with system leadership, physician leadership, clinical informatics leadership, operational owners, project managers, process architects, and AIT members. Actively participates in outstanding customer service inclusive of at the elbow support at facilities for providers, proactive outreach, with consistent timely follow-through and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Requirements: Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, or Cardiopulmonary Science is required. Master\'s Degree is preferred. Minimum of five years total between clinical and informatics experience.

Serves as a facility provider resource and role model in the use of clinical information systems.
Works with providers during care delivery to assess functionality, impact on workflow, analyze user needs, and document requests.
Analyzes requirements to propose effective solutions and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
Researches, validates, and logs provider EMR enhancement requests, discusses recommended solutions with provider and operational teams, and obtains operational design approval.
Conducts multiple annual information technology outreach touch points with medical staff members, share application tips, and guide providers to best practices.
Communicates modifications made to the application through collaterals and personal contact with providers.
Assists customers with the customization of the application using tools within the electronic health record foundation.
Engages in daily rounding in the acute setting with active engagement with providers to proactively recognize and resolve issues.
Provides education on new applications or functionality, conduct provider orientations, train-the-trainer sessions, and other training as needed.
Assists with executing change management strategies to enable smooth implementation of new application changes and enhancements.
Provides go-live support and post-go-live optimization at local sites and other facilities, including readiness to work various shifts.
Develops, implements, maintains, and optimizes health information technology training materials for providers based on current clinical practice and workflow.

The expertise and experiences you\'ll need to succeed:
Bachelor\'s of Nursing Required
5 Work Experience Required
Advanced clinical knowledge of current healthcare practice and Provider workflow (CPOE and documentation) with conceptual and practical understanding of various training techniques for users with various learning styles
Industry experience with electronic medical records
Expert conflict management skills
Communication skills both written and oral, are professional and follow defined escalation process
Is accountable for realization of goals and defined metrics
Methodically analyzes and evaluates business problems by defining the challenges, identifying alternatives, and making timely decisions
Understands own strengths and development needs, learns from experience, and owns personal and professional development
Creates an environment that is positive, service oriented and that values individual perspectives while driving towards common goals; assists teammates, leadership and Providers to achieve outcomes
Basic competency in Microsoft Office Applications
Registered Nurse (RN) Required
Preferred Qualifications:
Master\'s degree Preferred
Professional certification relevant to field (ex ANCC Informatics, CAHIMS, CPHIMS) Preferred
