Major Responsibilities
Nurse/Patient Relationship: Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships, adapt communication styles, provide personalized care, assess readiness, and incorporate holistic approaches.
Ensuring Quality Care: Facilitate access to quality, cost-effective care, mobilize resources, adhere to evidence-based standards, participate in quality initiatives, and meet regulatory requirements.
Patient/Staff Education: Address learning needs, utilize resources, and foster educational growth among staff.
Nursing Process: Use nursing problem-solving models, recognize clinical changes, make sound decisions, prioritize care, coordinate discharge planning, and uphold ethical standards.
Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrate respect, participate in team activities, communicate effectively, pursue professional development, and maintain certifications.
Licensure and Education
Current Illinois RN license.
Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
Achieve 10 continuing education credits annually.
Minimum one year of medical-surgical experience.
Proficiency in relevant skills and knowledge.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
On-call availability.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, transport objects and patients, and respond quickly.
Work environment involves exposure to potentially hazardous conditions and infectious materials.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance, with patient handling equipment used for heavier lifts.
