Hedis Quality Improvement Specialist

Actalent is seeking HEDIS Quality Improvement Specialists to join our team supporting a major health plan's Quality Improvement Department in Texas. This role plays a critical part in driving overall health plan ratings by supporting the annual HEDIS Hybrid Project. You will work closely with a medical record retrieval vendor and internal teams to resolve retrieval barriers, ensure timely collection of medical records, and contribute to improved compliance and measure rates. This is a short-term but high-impact project with a collaborative, mission-driven team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact provider offices to request and validate facility/provider addresses and collect medical records for the HEDIS project
  • Perform data entry for address changes and upload medical records upon receipt
  • Document all outreach efforts accurately and maintain compliance standards
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting
  • Support resolution of pending medical record retrievals to ensure project success

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in HEDIS quality improvement and medical record retrieval
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Experience:

  • Medical record retrieval and auditing
  • Familiarity with HEDIS measures and quality reporting
  • Ability to analyze, track, and trend reporting results
  • Experience preparing for meetings with providers and stakeholders

Job Type & Location

This is a contract position based out of Houston, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
