Foster Care Case Manager / Child Welfare Specialist / Youth Care Workers Delta-T Group is a national broker and referral service for specialized healthcare and educational professionals. Our services enable clients to access a diverse team of experienced professionals with various degrees, certifications, and licenses in fields such as social services, psychiatry, occupational therapy, speech pathology, special education, mental health, addictions treatment, allied therapies, and pharmacy. We primarily provide supplemental staffing services to school districts, hospitals, mental health centers, outpatient facilities, and residential homes.
The Opportunity
We are seeking several Case Managers for our Foster Care clients in Chicago and Lockport, IL. As a Child Welfare Specialist, you will deliver child welfare services within agency policies, managing caseloads involving foster care or group home residents. This role requires strong clinical, supervisory skills, and experience in foster care or child welfare systems.
Your duties will include social work tasks such as data collection and analysis, treatment plan development, transportation, supervised visits, facilitating sibling/parental visitations, and attending conferences with DCFS, juvenile courts, and schools. You must understand each client’s situation and provide services tailored to family needs. Additionally, you will handle record-keeping and administrative duties as required.
Job Responsibilities
Work effectively with families and staff in a culturally diverse environment
Hold regular meetings (bi-weekly) to discuss and document caseloads
Evaluate and monitor foster home resources in person
Maintain communication with DCFS Licensing and liaison to ensure licensing processes are smooth
Submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to DCFS
Train, supervise, and evaluate Licensing Representatives and Family Support Specialists
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years old
CERAP and Child Welfare Employee Licensure within two months of employment; SACWIS/CWEL certification preferred
Valid Illinois Driver's License and vehicle for home visits
No history of child abuse or neglect
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks with professional judgment
Flexible schedule, including evenings
Field experience required
