Tenure faculty (regardless of rank)
Persons with the titles of professor, associate professor, assistant professor, and instructor who serve on appointments totaling 50% or more service to the university, are eligible for tenure, or have obtained tenure. Duties include research, service, teaching, or clinical practice, as assigned according to workload guidelines specific to each faculty member's tenure initiation unit (TIU) and regional campus, if applicable. Candidates should possess a doctorate or other terminal degree in their relevant field or equivalent experience.

Position Overview
Recruited faculty will join a collaborative community of over thirty investigators working across BMI sub-domains, including bioinformatics, biostatistics, AI/ML in digital health, clinical informatics, and implementation science. Successful candidates will maintain an active research program, collaborate across disciplines, teach graduate courses, and mentor students. We are particularly interested in candidates specializing in:
AI and deep learning for multi-omics data modeling
Microbiome research with metagenomics or metaproteomics
Immuno-informatics with single-cell transcriptomics, metabolomics, and imaging
Comparative/population genomics
Cloud computing and cyberinfrastructure
Duties and Responsibilities
Candidates will collaborate on grant proposals, study design for clinical trials, and high-throughput omics research. Opportunities include developing methodologies, teaching, and mentoring at Ohio State.
Requirements
A Ph.D. in bioinformatics, mathematics, computer science, or related fields is required.
