  • Salary Range: $103,002 - $128,752 annually based on relevant years of experience
  • Location: Larimer county, Colorado- 100% In-Person
  • Status: Full time, 40 hours per week
  • Hours: Monday - Friday

Role Overview:

Responsible for providing operational leadership for performance improvement initiatives across SummitStone Health Partners’ continuum of care, the Director of Quality Improvement (QI) designs and advances the organization’s quality framework to ensure excellence in client safety and clinical outcomes. The Director leads enterprise-wide initiatives aligned with SummitStone’s mission and strategic goals, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making. This role requires a willingness to challenge the status quo to ensure lean principles are implemented, as well as the ability to understand the organizational change strategy and articulate it to diverse audiences. Leadership in this position is often facilitative, without direct authority, requiring influence across teams and service lines. This position will demonstrate a commitment and provide leadership for SummitStone Health Partners’ values by delivering visionary and operational leadership while fostering trust, collaboration, and a diverse and inclusive environment.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead the development and execution of quality improvement strategies across the organization by applying strong change management and communication practices to drive adoption and sustain results.
  • Coordinate Kaizen and other improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and sustainability of outcomes.
  • Support and guide the review of sentinel events and safety concerns, fostering collaboration and shared learning to inform corrective action planning.
  • Provide training and consultation to staff and leaders on quality methodologies and improvement tools.
  • Build collaborative relationships and facilitate cross-functional teamwork with departments such as Business Intelligence, Compliance, and Finance to align priorities, ensure data integrity, and identify opportunities for improvement when competing needs exceed available resources.
  • Support organizational learning through facilitation of quality committees and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Manage departmental resources and budgets to ensure effective stewardship and advancement of quality goals.
  • Represent SummitStone in external presentations and partnerships related to quality improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required:

  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration, Nursing, Behavioral Health, Public Health, or related field required.
  • More than seven years of experience in healthcare quality improvement or clinical operations required.
  • More than five years of experience in a supervisory or management position in a clinical setting required.
  • Experience with Kaizen facilitation and continuous improvement frameworks preferred.
  • Experience facilitating professional development preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be evaluated and considered.


Highly Desired:

  • Lean certification preferred.
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
  • Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred.
