Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $210,000.00/yr
Job Summary: The individual in this position is a key member of the hospital management team, providing leadership and oversight for the development and implementation of quality and patient safety programs, including performance improvement, patient safety, and accreditation. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and directing operational activities to support these services. The DCQI promotes a Culture of Safety, utilizes performance improvement methodologies, and ensures data integrity. This role liaises with The Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory agencies, overseeing survey readiness. The DCQI collaborates with Medical Staff to promote evidence-based, patient-centered care aimed at optimal outcomes, ensuring quality improvement aligns with organizational goals.
Pay Range: $79.39 - $103.21
Base Salary: $100,000 to $210,000
Wages are determined based on qualifications and experience.
Related Skills: Experience in quality/performance improvement, case management, and related areas.
Knowledge of Performance Improvement, Outcomes and Quality Management, Peer Review, Risk Management, Patient Safety, Infection Control, and Reporting.
Ability to interpret and analyze data effectively.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Operational skills in statistics, spreadsheets, databases; understanding of regulations related to Joint Commission, state requirements, and CMS.
Understanding of QIO guidelines and current trends in quality management.
Leadership skills to coordinate diverse teams.
Ability to motivate hospital teams to embrace change and clinical initiatives.
Responsibilities: Lead hospital-wide Quality/Performance Improvement activities.
Integrate Quality/Performance Improvement programs across medical and hospital staff.
Manage data and reporting for improvement initiatives.
Oversee the Quality/Performance Improvement department and staff.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA policies and other relevant procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in a healthcare-related field.
Preferred: Certified Professional Risk Management (PRM) and/or Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) within three years of hire.
Minimum 5 years experience in QA/PI.
Hospital management experience or extensive healthcare experience (>7 years) with relevant credentials will be considered.
