The Dental Treatment Care Coordinator at Folsom Family Dentistry acts as a crucial liaison between our patients and the dental care team. The prospective candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the patient experience by managing detailed aspects of treatment planning, financial agreements, and coordination of care. The Coordinator ensures that every patient is well-informed, comfortable, and prepared for their dental treatments, reflecting our clinic's commitment to high-quality care and patient satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for patients, explaining treatment options and plans methodically and empathetically.
• Discuss financial costs and various payment options with patients, ensuring they are fully informed and comfortable with their commitments.
• Coordinate effectively with insurance providers to handle claims, secure pre-authorizations, and manage reimbursements.
• Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and manage the dental office schedule to optimize patient flow and treatment timelines.
• Review and confirm dental treatment plans and consent forms with patients, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Monitor patient treatment progress and update records in the management system accordingly.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, enhancing their trust and loyalty to the facility.
• Collaborate closely with dental staff to align treatment schedules and resource availability.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and infection control regulations within the practice.
• Continuously update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a Dental Treatment Care Coordinator position or similar role highly encouraged.
• Ability to blend effectively with a growing, positive team, contributing to team spirit and cohesiveness.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to discuss complex treatment plans clearly and convincingly.
• Outstanding customer service skills, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance practices.
• Proven organizational skills, with the capability to manage multiple tasks and schedules efficiently.
• High level of empathy and professionalism to deal with diverse patient needs and situations.
• Competence in using dental software and tools necessary for treatment planning and scheduling.
