The Radiology Clinical Instructor/Lead Tech provides clinical instruction for Radiologic Technology students and new employees. This role involves representing U of L Hospital at job fairs, career days, and similar events to aid staff recruitment. The instructor/lead tech ensures compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies such as JCAHO and JRCERT. Responsibilities include supervising patient and staff workflows directly.
Responsibilities Prepare and monitor student clinical rotation schedules and room assignments.
Conduct and coordinate orientation for students and new employees in the Radiology department.
Complete clinical performance evaluations for Radiologic Technology students.
Evaluate student performance.
Ensure all clinical competencies are provided and completed.
Provide ongoing educational opportunities for staff technologists.
Maintain a positive departmental and hospital image.
Promote excellence through teamwork, enhancing communication, and inspiring staff to embody the hospital's values, vision, and goals.
Ensure departmental operations comply with hospital policies and procedures.
Perform duties of a staff technologist.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred): ARRT, KY Radiation Operator, BLS
Experience (preferred): Previous didactic experience
