Responsibilities Develop training curriculum for the MAs, OHAs, RNs, LPNs and PCCs.
Work collaboratively with the Clinical Programs Managers (CPM) and other management staff to identify staff training needs on an annual and individual basis.
Work collaboratively with the CPMs to plan and deliver training to the MAs, OHAs, RNs, LPNs, PCCs and Training Specialist(s).
Participate in workflow development to support performance improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with leadership to implement training to support new workflows and standard work to deliver high quality patient care.
Work with Medical Director and Director of Quality to determine training needs to support staff training in care delivery to achieve quality metrics.
Develop educational programs as assigned utilizing appropriate instructional procedures or methods such as individualized training, self-study, instructor led or computer-based training to meet the diverse needs of the adult learner.
Elicit and incorporate feedback from staff and supervisors to improve educational programs, materials and resources.
Remain current with ICD-10 and CPT coding as it related to standard work and quality metric achievement.
Complete work with accuracy and within expected times frames.
Collaborate with training department to ensure documentation of staff participation and completion of training programs, trainees' progress and achievements.
Create and maintain a positive learning environment.
Evaluate the proficiency levels of individual trainees' work with supervisors to develop additional training programs as necessary to support staff in achieving competency.
Use training techniques to meet the learner's learning style.
Educate staff to engage patients in becoming partners in their care.
Integrate VG's mission, vision, and values into staff training.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products, including Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge and understanding of ICD-10 and CPT codes
Knowledge of electronic medical record
Comprehensive knowledge of standards of care and clinical skills
Knowledge of adult learning principals and proficiency in providing training on this subject matter
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to aggregate and trend collected data
Strong research, analysis, reporting and presentation skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Good interpersonal and observational skills
Demonstrated skills in reflective listening
Awareness of learning and cultural differences among staff
Knowledge of Quality Improvement Models
Adaptability to work in a changing environment
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, safe driving record and insurance coverage required.
Education and Experience Current Oregon RN, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant license, or related license.
Three or more years of clinical experience.
Three or more years of experience in training curriculum development and educating adults preferred.

Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens or hazardous chemicals.
Immunization Staff member must meet immunizations requirements as stated in VGMHC's immunization policy.
