Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY: RN Case Manager responsible for managing resource utilization and clinical outcomes for patients, as well as discharge needs. The RN will also assist with the denial management process. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, and on-call/call-back status may be required. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
Qualifications
1 year of previous acute care RN experience required (within the last three years).
Bilingual preferred (Spanish).
Experience in Health Care Coordination preferred.
Must demonstrate commitment to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct, adhering to all policies and procedures, attending required training, and reporting suspected compliance issues.
Education / Licensure
Licensed in the State of Texas.
Current BLS certification within 6 months of hire, in accordance with AHA Healthcare Provider’s Program curriculum.
Registered Nurse license in Texas, or a valid temporary license while awaiting permanent licensure. BSN preferred.
Effective January 6, 2016, must have an Associate Degree, Baccalaureate Degree, or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.
