Ensures compliance with standards in evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to consumers of FNSB E/I. This position provides case management services for consumers and collaborates with management to ensure the delivery of quality services.
Job Duties:
Interviews and screens consumers for services.
Provides advocacy and referral services and serves as a liaison with community agencies.
Creates and maintains consumer files according to established policies and procedures.
Compiles and submits monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
Works as part of a team providing quality care while following departmental policies and procedures.
Works well under pressure, meeting multiple and conflicting deadlines, and demonstrates cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors, and consumers.
Provides information to the public regarding the program.
Attends relevant training sessions.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Familiarity with human resources policies and procedures.
Ability to report to work timely.
Knowledge of customer service concepts and practices.
Understanding of and sensitivity to diverse cultures and lifestyles, including cross-cultural communication styles.
Proficiency in operating a personal computer with various software.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks to meet deadlines.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and consumers.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Two years of experience in the social service field.
Effective working with diverse cultures and lifestyles, especially the Alaska Native population.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in behavioral health, human or social services, counseling, or related fields.
