Position Summary
The Case Manager provides trauma-informed, housing-focused case management to families residing in the Tamarac Family Emergency Non-Congregate Shelter. This role supports residents in achieving housing stability by conducting assessments, developing service plans, and connecting families to resources including housing, employment, healthcare, and supportive services.

Reports to: Program Manager

Mission of Role/Position Summary
Bayaud Works provides critical services and expertise in short- and long-term homeless sheltering, non-congregate and congregate emergency sheltering, and workforce support services. Joining Bayaud Works means being part of a team that delivers integrated solutions across emergency management, human services, and innovative community support services.

General Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive case management services including intake, assessment, service planning, and follow-up.

Assist families in identifying housing barriers and developing individualized housing stability plans.

Connect residents to appropriate community resources, benefits, and services.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in HMIS and case files.

Facilitate resident participation in programming, workshops, and referrals.

Support residents in crisis intervention and problem-solving as needed.

Advocate for residents with landlords, housing providers, and service agencies.

Collaborate with Lead Case Manager and Program Manager to ensure program compliance and quality of services.

Participate in case conferencing and staff meetings.

Ensure compliance with HOST Shelter Standards, grievance procedures, and sensitivity training requirements.

Other duties as assigned by the Lead Case Manager or Program Manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of housing systems, family homelessness, and supportive services.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to provide trauma-informed, equitable, and culturally responsive services.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Ability to build effective relationships with residents, landlords, and community providers.

Expected Hours of Work
40 hours per week (some evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required)

Physical Demands

Office-based with regular presence in shelter required.

Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Bayaud Works is a subsidiary of AC Disaster Consulting. Our Temporary Staffing Service works with Federal, State, City, County, and private employers to provide high-quality staffing and operations support. Bayaud Works was created to provide opportunities for individuals with barriers to employment and has since expanded to include staffing and management for shelter services, safety patrol, janitorial services, transportation, and more.

Experience and Education Required

Associates degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in case management, housing navigation, or human services.

Experience and Education Preferred

Experience with HMIS or similar data systems preferred.

Experience working with families experiencing homelessness is preferred.

Additional Qualifications

Must be able to pass a background check for work with vulnerable populations.

Valid driver’s license.
