Location: Downtown San Diego area & field-based office reporting. Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday (Sunday - Monday off) 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Status: Full-time, non-exempt (hourly) plus benefits. Salary: $27.12 per hour.

Location: Downtown San Diego area & field-based office reporting
Responsibilities and Duties Under the direction of the Support Services Program Manager, assist homeless individuals and families in finding and securing stable housing.
Connect clients with available housing options; navigate housing systems; provide ongoing housing placement support.
Identify clients’ needs and barriers; develop personalized housing plans; advocate for access to services and resources.
Assess housing needs, identify resources (shelters, transitional, permanent housing), and assist with applications and placements.
Develop individualized housing plans addressing income, mental health, substance use, and legal barriers.
Advocate for clients to access supportive services, benefits, and community resources.
Educate clients on housing rights, responsibilities, and budgeting for long-term stability.
Prepare and submit reports on client progress and housing outcomes for program evaluation and funding.
Collaborate with service providers, agencies, and landlords to expand options and support services.
Maintain accurate, confidential client records and housing placement documentation.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the department.
Administrative Management (15%) Adhere to local, state, and federal guidelines (HIPAA, OSHA, FLSA).
Answer incoming calls politely and professionally; respond to email requests within 72 hours.

Required Qualifications, Skills, And Abilities Valid U.S. Driver’s License required
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, or related field
Experience with homeless populations or housing advocacy required
Knowledge of local housing resources and housing laws; familiarity with social services
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Compassionate, nonjudgmental approach
Data management and case management software familiarity is a plus
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to read and write in English (bilingual/multilingual preferred)
