Job Description
JOB SUMMARY (overview of job):

The IT Application Analyst configures, tests, documents, implements, and supports computer application systems and coordinates with vendor support teams, system users/clients, project team members, coworkers in Information Technology and management. This role participates in project teams, configuration, implementation, on-going maintenance and support for production application systems. The IT Application Analyst has general knowledge of project methodology and system development lifecycle. May help support some hardware that is interrelated with the application. Works under direct supervision and performs tasks as assigned.

Duties And Responsibilities
Technical

Uses basic knowledge of software architecture and/or tools to perform configurations, screen development, modification, and debugging within software applications.

Develop, create and maintain test plans/scripts for the functionality identified and test the application to ensure that company standards and end-user requirements are met. Work with functional customers to plan and execute user acceptance testing of new solutions and/or enhancements.

Assist with deployment of new applications, upgrades, patches and updates to all environments (test, train and production).

Prepare training materials, tip sheets, for use by users and trainers for IT or the business. May provide hands‑on training sessions for end users.

Maintain, repair, and support applications and other related system technology. Participate in system recovery processes.

Work with infrastructure team to ensure backup and recovery of applications and hardware are in place and meets business requirements.

Install new application releases, system upgrades and patches. Maintain data files, monitor system configuration and perform routine archiving of data.

Develop and maintain application documentation, standards, and configurations.

Collaborate and coordinate with other technical resources to ensure solution delivered meets with organizational standards and support model.

Work on applications and projects with low levels of complexity.

Perform other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

1-3 years related experience in the duties and responsibilities listed above. Healthcare setting preferred.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
