Overview
Under the supervision of the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team Program Manager or designee, the MCOT Crisis Case Manager is a member of the Northern Hub Crisis Team, providing services in-person and via televideo in Williamson and Burnet Counties. This position is located on-site at the clinics within Williamson and Burnet counties.

The MCOT Crisis Case Manager provides crisis services to all children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a behavioral health crisis regardless of residency status, diagnosis, veteran status, or ability to pay. All MCOT services are community-based and available 24 hours per day, every day of the year. The Crisis Case Manager dispatches to the location of the individual in crisis (schools, emergency rooms, homes, BTCS clinics) to provide crisis intervention, screening, referral, relapse prevention, and follow-up services. Follow-up services may include case management, individual and group skills training, Person-Centered Recovery Planning, supported housing/employment, discharge planning, and linkage to ongoing services. The MCOT Crisis Case Manager uses the most effective, least restrictive approaches until the crisis is resolved or the individual transitions to a more clinically appropriate environment.

Responsibilities

Dispatch to locations where individuals are experiencing a crisis to provide crisis intervention, screening, referral, relapse prevention, and follow-up services.

Provide follow-up services including case management, skills training, recovery planning, and linkage to ongoing services.

Coordinate with schools, emergency rooms, homes, and clinics; work with law enforcement, medical community, families, and social services agencies.

Cross-train to provide crisis triage and intervention at the Youth Therapeutic Respite Program, Crisis Respite Unit, and the Diversion Center.

Maintain a small crisis follow-up caseload and document services in integrated computer database programs.

Communicate effectively with people and families from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

Work independently as needed while collaborating with team members; participate in rotating on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a human services field; comprehensive knowledge of mental health diagnoses; ability to work in a fast-paced, recovery-focused environment; a minimum of two years of case management experience; valid Texas Driver's License and maintained driving status; if degree is not in a human services field, a minimum of 24 college credits in a human services field.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree; pursuing clinical licensure in counseling, behavior analysis, family therapy, social work, or related field; Licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC); bilingual in ASL or Spanish preferred; experience in concurrent documentation.

Location, Schedule, and Compensation
Locations: Williamson and Burnet Counties; Cities include Round Rock, Georgetown, and Marble Falls.

Hourly Salary Range: $25.23 – $37.48

Up to $3.50/hour – Previous crisis experience

Up to $2.00/hour – Previous experience in a similar role at a community center

Up to $4.00/hour – Tenure with BTCS

$1.00/hour – Master’s Degree in HS

$0.75/hour – Bilingual

$1.00/hour – Advanced Licensure

Shift Differentials:

Evening Shift: $2.00/hour

Night Shift: $4.00/hour

$200 per month Service Delivery Incentive opportunity

On-Call
The position requires rotating on-call responsibilities, including after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
